Kansas Wesleyan University is a private four-year college founded in Salina, Kansas in 1886. It is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. About 850 students attend the campus. The university is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, the National League for Nursing, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), and the Kansas State Department of Education. ==Academics== The university's academic program provides a Liberal Arts foundation comprising more than 27 major programs: MBA, BA, BS, BASB, BSN, AA, AAS degrees. Additionally, there are evening degree completion programs for adults in nursing, business management and criminal justice. The average class size is 16 students, with a student-to-teacher ratio of 9:1.〔 KWU is a member of the Associated Colleges of Central Kansas (ACCK), a consortium of six academic institutions located within of KWU's campus, through which students may enroll in courses and resources. KWU is also a member of the 18-member Kansas Independent College Association.
